Renaesance Castle built in the early 1500's. I was very impressed, my very first encounter with a castle. Had a guided tour through the 'kassematterne' which is the dungeons of the castle, and how terrible they treated the danish soldiers. The tale of Holger Dansk-Ogier the Dane (statue photo) We also toured through the 62m long ballroom, the beautifully preserved chapel. Saw the most gorgeous tapestries 1550's gifted to lady of the house...I was truly left in awe.....saw some white swans - quite oposite to the back swan of western Australia.
